Beniamin Bieniendas short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Flavio Vittori to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zygmunt Pietrowicz made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Cyprian Pusiak threw the ball into play from the sideline. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 56th minute of play forced Mszczyczyn's goalkeeper András Erdélyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gianpaolo Mascari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without András Erdélyi having to interfere. András Erdélyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Italy booed when Mszczyczyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boni Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mszczyczyn's András Erdélyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guiscardo Davide in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Adriano Curto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Curto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Mszczyczyn getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Cyprian Pusiak hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Italy players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
