When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Dave Rinaldi to make any attempt to save it. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as David Eikelkamp kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dave Rinaldi. That made the score 0-4 in the 75 minute of play. In the 80th minute Stéphane Gaudy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Stéphane Gaudy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elegance Dijon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4.
