Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verner Ståhlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Verner Ståhlberg in the 17th minute of the match. Qin Ting Peng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Dervaux in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Kristoffer Bjurström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristoffer Bjurström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Kurt Holmgren put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Casper Claes. Casper Claes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Verner Ståhlberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 37 minute of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Qin Ting Peng, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 46 minutes, Edward Vanderstraeten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edward Vanderstraeten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off in the second half. Krzysztof Bobrowski hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. A hard shot 57 in the game by Edward Vanderstraeten from a close distance when the talented Qin Ting Peng managed to make a qualified save. Stockholm IF's players were relieved. When Sander Dermaut fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belgium's protests and gave Sander Dermaut a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Sander Dermaut. In the 63rd minute of the match Bernt Löfdahl sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casper Claes skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Stockholm IF's Qin Ting Peng got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Qin Ting Peng was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edward Vanderstraeten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 70 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Floris Claeys got a free kick in the 75th minute. Qin Ting Peng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. Qin Ting Peng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 91st minute of play. After some careless play in the Stockholm IF defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Qin Ting Peng. The Stockholm IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Qin Ting Peng should have stopped the shot. Belgium's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
