Marcu Cruceru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Barbăneagră having to interfere. Sven Krakouer hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes AC Milan Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Luca Pomuț. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcu Cruceru's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. A hard shot 20 in the game by Marcu Cruceru from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. AC Milan Tigers were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Costin Ciorobîtcă took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Luca Pomuț got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcu Cruceru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Codrin Barbăneagră didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ion Văcărescu kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Codrin Barbăneagră stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toader Jumancă in the 67th minute of play. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Milan Tigers's Marcu Cruceru. But to his dismay, Marcu Cruceru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 70th match minute, AC Milan Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Pomuț to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, AC Milan Tigers's Codrin Barbăneagră got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Codrin Barbăneagră showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 74th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Răuţă, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ion Văcărescu fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Milan Tigers's protests and gave Ion Văcărescu a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Codrin Barbăneagră in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Sârban in the 92nd minute of the match. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Codrin Barbăneagră tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
