Joakim Vennerlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evander Zabel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Evander Zabel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sigfrido Auletta's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evander Zabel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Ciudad Tao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sigfrido Auletta came free, but Evander Zabel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Italy's Zena Busacca got a free kick in the 28th minute. Štěpán Flídr made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Evander Zabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 30th minute of play. Štěpán Flídr made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jairo Malheiro however managed to control. Evander Zabel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ciudad Tao FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Oliver Wennerqvist hit a great ball. Zaccheo Andolina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute Osmar Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evander Zabel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half. Evander Zabel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 53rd minute. Evander Zabel made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Porziano Marchitelli sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evander Zabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Gianpaolo Mascari in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ciudad Tao FC's Oliver Wennerqvist. Jairo Malheiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Vittori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Malheiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Malheiro in the 65th minute of play. Marc Zoolingen made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ernst Skog. 79 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Malheiro came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Malheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Jairo Malheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciudad Tao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Malheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Vittori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Ciudad Tao FC's Joakim Vennerlund got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jairo Malheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
