Petter Bergström hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth Kvarnström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ivan Vollander sped through Denmark's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. Kenneth Kvarnström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Steen, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Denmark's Chris Nygaard was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kenneth Kvarnström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After some careless play in the Denmark defense, Ivan Vollander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. The Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keld Paulsen should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Bertram Svenningsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olav Graversen charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olav Graversen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Olav Graversen got a free kick in the 88th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Snett★inåt★bakåt could leave the field as winners, despite Denmark having more of the ball for most of the match.
