But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Comunardo Caretti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Prospero Florin made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Netherlands's David Eikelkamp. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Comunardo Caretti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 34th minute of play forced Broom of the System DA13's goalkeeper Comunardo Caretti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Ezquibela tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Comunardo Caretti. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 35th minute. In the 37th match minute, Broom of the System DA13 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 邱坚义 to maneuver through the defense. Comunardo Caretti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Florin in the 40th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prospero Florin got free with Arnout Reekers in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Prospero Florin took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Broom of the System DA13's Prospero Florin got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Broom of the System DA13's Iustinian Prelipceanu got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Florin to make the kick off. Comunardo Caretti made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felice Genovesi in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Broom of the System DA13's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner ended in David Eikelkamp almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Broom of the System DA13's Comunardo Caretti did a great save. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felice Genovesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Comunardo Caretti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Prospero Florin scored 2-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Broom of the System DA13's Waldemar Gdowski was substituted for Prospero Florin. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 86th minute, but Comunardo Caretti got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Broom of the System DA13 hanging dry this time. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Broom of the System DA13's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Comunardo Caretti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Comunardo Caretti was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 89 minute of play. Comunardo Caretti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Ingemar Frisk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
