In the 28th minute, Carmine Cavanna made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Ermanno Lalli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Domenico Di Girolamo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermanno Lalli made a kick off. Ermanno Lalli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. In the 60th minute Laykers were awarded a corner. Domenico Di Girolamo went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Fabio Rondinelli drilling the ball in to score 5-0 behind Germany's goalkeeper. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Domenico Di Girolamo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laykers's supporters rose to their feet, but Domenico Di Girolamo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the game, Ermanno Lalli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 79 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Willy Stieler. The crowd rose to their feet as Germany's Frank Sachs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Demetrio Greco. That made the score 6-1 after 84 minutes of play. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermanno Lalli's shot from short distance in the 88th minute.
