An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 18th minute of play forced Gitarriu's goalkeeper Damian Tipinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Lundström in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Joel Lundström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Joel Lundström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damian Tipinski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Lundström went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Joel Lundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Joel Lundström sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Gitarriu's Joel Lundström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 35 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vergaray Casero in the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Lundström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damian Tipinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damian Tipinski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Joel Lundström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Lundström in the 60th minute of play. Damian Tipinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Joel Lundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Gitarriu's Joel Lundström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 71 minutes, Joel Lundström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gitarriu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Lundström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damian Tipinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 78th minute of the match. Sven Krakouer hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The supporters of Germany booed when Gitarriu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jane Gubanec didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 minutes, Leroy Llorente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gitarriu and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Joel Lundström made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After having played for 93 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Bueno charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Bueno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gitarriu's Antonio Bueno got a free kick in the 95th minute.
