Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frank Sachs took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gitarriu's Damian Tipinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 4th minute of play. Gitarriu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vergaray Casero in the 7th minute. A collision led to Gitarriu getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Joel Lundström hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Gitarriu's Leroy Llorente got a free kick in the 13th minute. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Joel Lundström scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Kahn, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Gitarriu's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Tipinski came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Damian Tipinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Lundström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Tommy Kahn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Gitarriu's Vergaray Casero got a free kick in the 31st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Germany's Frank Sachs tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frankie Yankovich. Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Joel Lundström scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Kahn, making the score, 2-0. 46 minutes into the match, Gitarriu's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but Damian Tipinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 50th minute of the match Gitarriu got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vergaray Casero ran over to the corner to take the kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Lundström made a kick off. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Lundström's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Frank Sachs in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Damian Tipinski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Gitarriu's Vergaray Casero got a free kick in the 70th minute. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Tipinski having to interfere. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Lundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ulrich Stein's late challenge caught a Gitarriu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulrich Stein helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Ulrich Stein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gitarriu's Antonio Bueno was substituted for Frankie Yankovich. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ulrich Stein hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Lundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Albin Holweck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Albin Holweck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Tipinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Joel Lundström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Joel Lundström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94thth minute of the game Joel Lundström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joel Lundström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
