Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erik Jilek started the match with the kick off. The corner led YR Mechelen's Vincent Van Mechelen to fire away a dangerous shot which Vavrinec Holub despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tuur Candries recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Jilek kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Paul-Louis Van Mechelen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vavrinec Holub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute of the game Svatopluk Capek made a throw-in which David Rusil played forward. YR Mechelen's Maurice Van Mechelen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Svatopluk Capek, made in the 19th minute of the game. The supporters of Czech Republic booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Van Mechelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Tuur Candries recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vavrinec Holub. Tuur Candries showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Tuur Candries came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Maurice Van Mechelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Czech Republic's Erik Jilek in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye YR Mechelen's goalie prevented a goal. 38 minutes into the game, Svatopluk Capek threw the ball into play from the sideline. YR Mechelen's Maurice Van Mechelen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Czech Republic's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erik Jilek in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Tuur Candries came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul-Louis Van Mechelen was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Vitek during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st minute, Daniel Vitek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul-Louis Van Mechelen, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Paul-Louis Van Mechelen struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Vavrinec Holub didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YR Mechelen. Andries Van Mechelen made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Erik Jilek sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul-Louis Van Mechelen in the 69th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Jilek to maneuver through the defense. When Tuur Candries fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YR Mechelen's protests and gave Tuur Candries a yellow card for diving instead. Tuur Candries kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Andries Van Mechelen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Jilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Svatopluk Capek. YR Mechelen's Paul-Louis Van Mechelen got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. YR Mechelen were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Czech Republic to leave the ground with a draw.
