The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paul-Louis Van Mechelen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Andries Van Mechelen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Nygaard. YR Mechelen's Vincent Van Mechelen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Theis Winther in the 59 minute of the game. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul-Louis Van Mechelen in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuur Candries to maneuver through the defense. In the 68thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Paul-Louis Van Mechelen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Paul-Louis Van Mechelen got a free kick in the 71st minute. A collision led to YR Mechelen getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Leo Van Mechelen hit a great ball. With 74 minutes on the clock, Miguel Van Mechelen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in YR Mechelen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! YR Mechelen:s Andries Van Mechelen showed great skill when he stopped Chris Nygaard:s penalty. The excitement rose when Denmark's Chris Nygaard after 76 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for YR Mechelen's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-3. After 79 minutes, Diederik Van Mechelen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YR Mechelen and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chris Nygaard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andries Van Mechelen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Denmark's Chris Nygaard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andries Van Mechelen. That made the score 1-4 after 84 minutes of play. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Andries Van Mechelen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Chris Nygaard put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Andries Van Mechelen. Chris Nygaard scored 1-6 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andries Van Mechelen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
