Bruno Bastos hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Днепр ФК's Dmitriy Bogaenko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 13 minutes, Graciano Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Graciano Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Uwe Askri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Днепр ФК fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ralf Rapp got free with Wilson Amorim in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vladislav Maksimychev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 20th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Dmitriy Bogaenko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dmitriy Bogaenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Vladislav Maksimychev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Barreto went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Felipe Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladislav Maksimychev having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaspar Calisto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Rapp in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 57th minute of play forced Днепр ФК's goalkeeper Vladislav Maksimychev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st match minute, Днепр ФК was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cengiz Ulutaş to maneuver through the defense. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Uwe Askri scored 2-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gaspar Calisto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Днепр ФК's Ralf Rapp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the last second Vladislav Maksimychev throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bartolomeu Dias in the 85thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ralf Rapp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Днепр ФК's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralf Rapp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91stth minute of the game Bartolomeu Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Днепр ФК's Vladislav Maksimychev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dmitriy Bogaenko in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel got a free kick in the 94th minute. Erwan Carnot shot a long shot in the 95th minute and a light blocked Wilson Amorim hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 5-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Днепр ФК.
