In the 7thth minute of the game Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Roca's Fidensio Pestaña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fidensio Pestaña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 9th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mantzio Cospedal during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Villa Roca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mantzio Cospedal to maneuver through the defense. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fidensio Pestaña. Fidensio Pestaña dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kylan Mbappè in the 14th minute. Netherlands's Lars Meesters pulled a muscle in his leg after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 16 minutes, Selatse Cejudo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Roca and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. Selatse Cejudo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A very good chance. Columbo Seracoyz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In the 36th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidensio Pestaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 37th minute of play forced Villa Roca's goalkeeper Fidensio Pestaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa Roca's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Fidensio Pestaña. Villa Roca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Fidensio Pestaña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Roca's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidensio Pestaña came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Fidensio Pestaña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. David Eikelkamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidensio Pestaña having to interfere. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Villa Roca throughout the match.
