The audience thought a goal was coming when Bivadi Gallagher got free with Ilija Skugor in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Toni Mauzer made a precise shot to the right of Pembroke Gallagher. Galway Cowboys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Boethis Tracy's late challenge caught a Croatia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boethis Tracy helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, Galway Cowboys's Bardain McTom got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ilija Skugor. Pembroke Gallagher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Mauzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brefni Dimson charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brefni Dimson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes Galway Cowboys got a freekick which was hit by Brefni Dimson. Toni Mauzer took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pembroke Gallagher. Pembroke Gallagher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 43rd minute, Damir Pongrac made a precise shot to the right of Pembroke Gallagher. Galway Cowboys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Pembroke Gallagher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toni Mauzer to make the kick off. With a little luck, Galway Cowboys's Pembroke Gallagher got control of the ball when Dinko Stankovic tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Galway Cowboys's Arnold Robinson got a free kick in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Croatia's Toni Mauzer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pembroke Gallagher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Bosak during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Bosak to maneuver through the defense.
