After 7 played minutes Radomiak Radom got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Czysty. 10 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Wnukowski. In the 14th minute, Robert Wnukowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Radomiak Radom fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A sloppy throw-in by Kees Mooiweer in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Radomiak Radom's Eurico Fernandez. Robert Wnukowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Harry Maguire fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Radomiak Radom's protests and gave Harry Maguire a yellow card for diving instead. Radomiak Radom's Hieronim Mentis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Mooiweer to maneuver through the defense. Kees Mooiweer made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gijsbert ter Kruimer immediately put the ball in play. 46 minutes into the match, Radomiak Radom's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Hieronim Mentis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hieronim Mentis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Kajetan Czysty put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Radomiak Radom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajetan Czysty didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Eurico Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Radomiak Radom's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hieronim Mentis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 90th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Dragoş Brădean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Radomiak Radom's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. After a rather tough play, Radomiak Radom's Dragoş Brădean got a free kick in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
