Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Frank Sachs started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egil Östlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute, Janik Vogt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ward Doran got free with Tommy Kahn in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egil Östlund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 46th play minute Ryan Bellamy came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tommy Kahn. 4-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ward Doran to make the kick off. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Golden Hills's Rupert McCormick got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ward Doran in the 60th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ward Doran in the 65th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Ward Doran made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Ryan Bellamy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Ryan Bellamy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Egil Östlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Hills's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Östlund came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egil Östlund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's Ward Doran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Egil Östlund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Sachs went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. In the 89th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orville Hough charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orville Hough the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Germany made a substitution. Erik Deutschmann replaced Adrian Dreifuss. Orville Hough kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
