Zena Busacca tried in the game's 17th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Flavio Vittori. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Tiburcio Gaueko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiburcio Gaueko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Pero to strike the kick off in the second half. Tiburcio Gaueko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Academia FC's Alvaro Iraitz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eliseo Cutri, made in the 57th minute of the game. Siricio Liotta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Tiburcio Gaueko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Porziano Marchitelli kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Aurelio Soin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Soin in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67th minute Siricio Liotta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Gaueko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Deodato Magliozzi heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Porziano Marchitelli's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tiburcio Gaueko firmly grabbed it by the left post. Porziano Marchitelli came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tiburcio Gaueko could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 78th minute of play forced Academia FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Gaueko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Aurelio Soin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Adriano Curto struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Tiburcio Gaueko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Italy were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
