In the 13th minute, one of Miedzyrzec Utd:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Miedzyrzec Utd. Miedzyrzec Utd:s Rafal Dziura showed great skill when he stopped Gijsbert ter Kruimer:s penalty. Rafal Dziura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Miedzyrzec Utd's Rafal Dziura managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafal Dziura saved Miedzyrzec Utd from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michal Kiszkiel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. 26 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Glaza came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafal Dziura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 30th minute of the match. Rafal Dziura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Michal Kiszkiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Netherlands's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Michal Kiszkiel scored to the left of an out of position Arnout Reekers, making the score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Rafal Dziura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 53rd minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Kiszkiel in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Miedzyrzec Utd getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Szczepan Paprotny hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Glaza in the 61st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leszek Radzyminski who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Glaza in the 96th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Miedzyrzec Utd.
