The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claes Fender blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. The throw-in from Faustino Almeida in the 7th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Six Pac FC's Janne Gibson. The crowd rose to their feet as Claes Fender kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Claes Fender sent off a good shot on target. Jack Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Janne Krut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claes Fender. Thanks to some nice moves Claes Fender could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Wilson Amorim however easily saved by the left post. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Graciano Coutinho got a free kick in the 41st minute. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Fender, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Jack Glanselius successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Fender, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, Six Pac FC's Stig-Arne Alegren got a free kick in the 66th minute. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Six Pac FC's Jack Glanselius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Bruno Bastos threw the ball into play from the sideline. Six Pac FC's Leif Messi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Daniel Pimentel was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 91st minute. Portugal's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Felipinho Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jack Glanselius having to make a save. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Six Pac FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
