Netherlands's attentive Wim Wilmes managed to snatch the ball when Fernandinho Rodrigues made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hílton Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Céleste in the 54th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matías Domingues saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to BlacK & BlueS getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Hílton Barral hit a great ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matías Domingues having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Rodrigues in the 79th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Matías Domingues to make any attempt to save it. 90 minutes into the game, Tostão Céleste was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BlacK & BlueS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. Matías Domingues made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Matías Domingues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Tostão Céleste suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 96 minutes, Mathijn Doctor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the BlacK & BlueS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
