Daniel Pimentel kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Caetano Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Nueva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adalberto Nueva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Dave Murray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Iron Maiden FC's Adalberto Nueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Iron Maiden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Adalberto Nueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match, Arın Biçim tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iron Maiden FC's Adalberto Nueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 35th minute of play. Fabricio Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adalberto Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Andrade in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Nicko McBrain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Murray in the 56th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iron Maiden FC's Adalberto Nueva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Iron Maiden FC from getting a goal against them. Adalberto Nueva made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günalp Talip in the 64th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Torrent in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arın Biçim in the 68th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viriato Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Adalberto Nueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iron Maiden FC made a substitution. Janick Geers replaced Dave Murray. Bruno Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Bruce Dickinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felipinho Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Nueva having to interfere. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Günalp Talip, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 95th minute, Bruno Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Iron Maiden FC.
