Spain's Gabriel Ascaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Spain from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Toledo in the 17th minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Oliver Can to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Hubertas Dabkevičius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spain's Gabriel Ascaso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leandro Grimi kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Spain's Adria Bielsa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliver Can made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Oliver Can showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. But to his dismay, Omar Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Amado Guterres kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Hubertas Dabkevičius was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 39th minute. FK Mintis Vilnius's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Omar Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Spain's David Aranda got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Omar Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubertas Dabkevičius in the 47th minute of play. Gabriel Ascaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubertas Dabkevičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The FK Mintis Vilnius players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Spain were winning 0-2.

50 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Oliver Can had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Toledo. Omar Toledo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Oliver Can firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Spain's Adria Bielsa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oliver Can. That made the score 0-3 after 54 minutes of play. After 57 minutes, Hubertas Dabkevičius made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, Tomas Danilevičius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Ascaso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 65th minute, Omar Toledo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Oliver Can. The goal made the score 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Aranda in the 72nd minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Oliver Can to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Kęstutis Latoža managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Mintis Vilnius's supporters rose to their feet, but Kęstutis Latoža was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Ascaso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Hubertas Dabkevičius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Ascaso was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-5. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by FK Mintis Vilnius's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jon Cubero was slow to take the kick. During this time Spain's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Pau Herrero at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of FK Mintis Vilnius. 4-6. 89 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Danilevičius came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Carles Cherro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spain's supporters rose to their feet, but Carles Cherro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Can breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Spain's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
