Jean-Marie Seigneur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. In the 10th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kornél Révész saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kornél Révész made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Kornél Révész took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean-Marie Seigneur got free with Arnout Reekers in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kornél Révész was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Kornél Révész made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Kornél Révész. Ricsi 75's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 32nd minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kornél Révész saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ricsi 75 booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Nijveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Ferenc Vass came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Ricsi 75 were awarded a corner. Ferenc Vass went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Jean-Marie Seigneur managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 45 played minutes Ricsi 75 got a freekick which was hit by Szilárd Kodály. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ricsi 75's Kornél Révész proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Ricsi 75 from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Eikelkamp got free with Kornél Révész in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Wim Wilmes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kornél Révész. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, one of Ricsi 75:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ricsi 75. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Kornél Révész in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kornél Révész showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kornél Révész made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kornél Révész saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kornél Révész tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ricsi 75's Szilárd Kodály got a free kick in the 87th minute. Kornél Révész was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer. Ricsi 75's Kornél Révész proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Ricsi 75 from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Mure in the 97th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricsi 75's Kornél Révész proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Ricsi 75 from getting a goal against them. Netherlands played a much better game than Ricsi 75 and deserved their victory. The Ricsi 75 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
