An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 4th minute of play forced AZAT MARD FC's goalkeeper Pär Löfdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute, Major Barna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Pär Löfdahl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Inge Risk tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pär Löfdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pär Löfdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute Jon Waller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Erik Hellsing came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fodor Daniel could save by the left post. After 30 played minutes AZAT MARD FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Skochev. Inge Risk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AZAT MARD FC's goalkeeper Pär Löfdahl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the AZAT MARD FC defense, Major Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pär Löfdahl. The AZAT MARD FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pär Löfdahl should have stopped the shot. Pär Löfdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 38th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pär Löfdahl. AZAT MARD FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Pär Löfdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 42nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inge Risk got free with Fodor Daniel in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to AZAT MARD FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Börje Vesterberg hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pär Löfdahl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Pär Löfdahl in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AZAT MARD FC made a substitution. Sebastian Åkerman replaced Inge Risk. Balazs Lajos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Balazs Lajos came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. AZAT MARD FC's Pär Löfdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save AZAT MARD FC from getting a goal against them. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Josef Vennerström came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the AZAT MARD FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josef Vennerström couldn't finish the play.
