In the 27th minute, Felipe Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Cléber Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Cléber Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cléber Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 47th match minute, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. A sloppy throw-in by Faustino Almeida in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Adrianinho Sabóia. 71 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cléber Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Robbie Lefevere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Robbie Lefevere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 84 in the game by Felipinho Amorim from a close distance when the talented Cléber Souza managed to make a qualified save. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's players were relieved. Felipinho Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cléber Souza having to make a save. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Cléber Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Maxaranguape - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipinho Amorim in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cléber Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Souza having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Maxaranguape - FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
