In the 4th minute, Yoshie Rebec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ondrej Biskup hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Henrich Slany took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoshie Rebec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Elek Datoru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vjsk Youth Brooklyn's supporters rose to their feet, but Elek Datoru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrich Slany breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Zigmund Maliar got a free kick in the 9th minute. Vít Biskup hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Olov Wennerberg hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Elek Datoru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. Slovakia's Oliver Holub got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Vjsk Youth Brooklyn booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Metod Mlynar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yoshie Rebec in the 37th minute of the match. Metod Mlynar struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jerzy Dudek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovakia. Henrich Slany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yoshie Rebec, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 51 played minutes Slovakia got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Holub. Elek Datoru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. Oliver Holub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes, Slovakia's Pavol Koleno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Slovakia reached it. Vjsk Youth Brooklyn's Olov Wennerberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vít Biskup, made in the 68th minute of the game. Vjsk Youth Brooklyn's Olov Wennerberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vít Biskup in the 69 minute of the game. 73 minutes into the game, Malte Askberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vjsk Youth Brooklyn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Slovakia the free kick. In the 74th minute, Malte Askberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yoshie Rebec hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When Metod Mlynar came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Slovakia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Metod Mlynar couldn't finish the play. Metod Mlynar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute Yoshie Rebec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
