Siricio Liotta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Fontana having to make a save. Armando Fontana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Fontana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Deodato Magliozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zaccheo Andolina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Fontana having to make a save. In the 16th match minute, Puianello FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Esposito to maneuver through the defense. The corner led to Italy's Siricio Liotta getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Zaccheo Andolina took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armando Fontana. Armando Fontana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Siricio Liotta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Fontana having to interfere. Siricio Liotta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Armando Fontana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 33rd minute of play forced Puianello FC's goalkeeper Armando Fontana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Fontana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Porziano Marchitelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Deodato Magliozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes Puianello FC got a freekick which was hit by Fortunato Boldrini. After the first half Italy were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zaccheo Andolina to make the kick off. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Italy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Camillo Caiola was slow to take the kick. During this time Puianello FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Marcell Jacobs managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some careless play in the Puianello FC defense, Zaccheo Andolina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Fontana. The Puianello FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Fontana should have stopped the shot. Puianello FC's Amedeo Di Lullo was substituted for Carlo Mazzone. Antonello De Feo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Italy's Sigfrido Auletta got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavio Vittori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göksel Taşdan's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Francesco Coscia hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Di Lullo in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, Puianello FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francesco Coscia to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Puianello FC's goalkeeper Armando Fontana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Siricio Liotta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Francesco Coscia in the 85 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guiscardo Davide in the 88th minute of play forced Puianello FC's goalkeeper Armando Fontana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adriano Curto took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armando Fontana. Armando Fontana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When the match was over Italy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Puianello FC throughout the match.
