After a rather tough play, MZ Rapid's Panait Bănățeanu got a free kick in the 4th minute. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Kvetoslav Janku hit a great ball. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippos Stathopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Aarón Rey took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vavrinec Holub to make any attempt to save it. Vavrinec Holub made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filippos Stathopoulos in the 14th minute. Vintilă Luncanu came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Czech Republic's Alan Rezek. But to his dismay, Alan Rezek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Aarón Rey came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the MZ Rapid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aarón Rey couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute Erik Jilek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Luncanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Lucian Bran sped through Czech Republic's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vavrinec Holub. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aarón Rey in the 27th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Ernest Ştefănică managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aarón Rey in the 31st minute of play. Filippos Stathopoulos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Vavrinec Holub skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alan Rezek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vintilă Luncanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's David Rusil got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Alan Rezek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Czech Republic's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Filippos Stathopoulos 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Jilek made a kick off. If Aarón Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 52 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Bohumir Kohout. When Filippos Stathopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the MZ Rapid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filippos Stathopoulos couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the game, Filippos Stathopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Vavrinec Holub was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aarón Rey took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Valdemar Turecek's late challenge caught a MZ Rapid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdemar Turecek helped the player get up and apologised. Valdemar Turecek hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Aarón Rey notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Panait Bănățeanu during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to MZ Rapid getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Panait Bănățeanu hit a great ball. When Bohumir Kohout was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. The supporters of MZ Rapid booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bohumir Kohout didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Aarón Rey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aarón Rey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. In the 80th minute, Petre Encuțoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippos Stathopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Aarón Rey came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panait Baldovin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Alan Rezek got a free kick in the 94th minute. Ernest Ştefănică took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. MZ Rapid walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
