Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silvio Egun started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Saverio Argider hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 minutes, Frank Sachs made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cuquero's Dario Cambiasso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 12 minutes into the game, Hans-Cees Wortelboer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cuquero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cuquero's Hans-Cees Wortelboer got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Sean Allison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Frank Sachs sped through Cuquero's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dario Cambiasso. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Haritzeder got free with Tommy Kahn in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 24 minutes, Nicanor Calixto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuquero and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. Germany made a substitution. Rolf Rothberg replaced Albin Holweck. When Silvio Egun came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Cuquero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Egun couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute Sean Allison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dario Cambiasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A throw-in in the 38th minute of the game was made by Romário Carioca with Silvio Egun as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silvio Egun showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 40 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Allison in the 47th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Frank Sachs made the kick off in the second half. Sean Allison struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuquero. The supporters of Germany booed when Cuquero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Egun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Cambiasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Cuquero getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Nicanor Calixto hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Rolf Rothberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes Cuquero got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Calixto. 74 minutes into the match, Rolf Rothberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dario Cambiasso, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Germany's Janik Vogt got a free kick in the 77th minute. Cuquero's Dario Cambiasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Rothberg in the 81st minute of play. Frank Sachs made a great header on Germany's corner, it was just that Cuquero's Dario Cambiasso managed to reach the ball for a save. Nicanor Calixto kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The Germany supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Germany would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
