Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) La Gallardeta's Paolo Rossi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Paolo Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paolo Rossi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wilson Amorim firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paolo Rossi got free with Wilson Amorim in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paolo Rossi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilson Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Paolo Rossi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. La Gallardeta's Nacho Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 21st minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Dalmacio Gartzea in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Bruno Bastos. Caetano Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Attilio Stefano. 38 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Haimar came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Felipe Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barreto couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Felipe Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nacho Gonzalez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Rossi came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Paolo Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, La Gallardeta's Paolo Rossi made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute Paolo Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Amado Chayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Gallardeta's supporters rose to their feet, but Amado Chayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Rossi in the 66th minute of play. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Chayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Paolo Rossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. La Gallardeta's Fernando Dantae was substituted for Paolo Rossi. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by La Gallardeta's Fernando Dantae. But to his dismay, Fernando Dantae quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. When Fernando Dantae came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the La Gallardeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Dantae couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Amado Chayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Gallardeta's supporters rose to their feet, but Amado Chayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the game, Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nacho Gonzalez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Dantae in the 86th minute of play. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Chayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when La Gallardeta's Fernando Dantae shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 94th minute, Fernando Dantae left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Gallardeta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-3. 97 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Dantae came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Gallardeta's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
