Aniol Paris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After 6 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Sociedad Deportiva Aboque players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Sociedad Deportiva Aboque's Aníbal Marinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Radomil Jaraczeski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aniol Paris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radomil Jaraczeski in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. In the 27th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aniol Paris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aniol Paris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Aníbal Marinho could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Arnout Reekers however easily saved by the left post. When Toni Buenafuente fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sociedad Deportiva Aboque's protests and gave Toni Buenafuente a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 62 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Aniol Paris made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Aniol Paris in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomil Jaraczeski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Radomil Jaraczeski scored 2-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Migúel Grau kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Alfredo Aznar made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Toni Buenafuente however managed to control. Sociedad Deportiva Aboque's Radomil Jaraczeski got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Aniol Paris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aniol Paris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Lars Meesters nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aniol Paris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Buenafuente in the 94th minute of the match. Ioan Zărnescu hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Sociedad Deportiva Aboque support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
