Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frank Sachs kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Ludomil Jaraczeski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Ludomil Jaraczeski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when KS Grocholice's Ludomil Jaraczeski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 17th minute of play forced KS Grocholice's goalkeeper Walery Tamulewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Germany were awarded a corner. Frank Sachs went to the cornerflag to take it. When Germany's Frank Sachs in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KS Grocholice's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 28th minute of play forced KS Grocholice's goalkeeper Walery Tamulewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walery Tamulewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Willy Stieler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stanislaw Rakowicz in the 38th minute. After 40 played minutes KS Grocholice got a freekick which was hit by Ludomil Madajczyk. Germany's attentive Willy Stieler managed to snatch the ball when Ludomil Madajczyk made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. After some careless play in the KS Grocholice defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walery Tamulewicz. The KS Grocholice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walery Tamulewicz should have stopped the shot. After the first half Germany were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zbyszko Mierzejewski to make the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, KS Grocholice's Zbyszko Mierzejewski made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute Zbyszko Mierzejewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, KS Grocholice's Miroslaw Pyrzyce got a free kick in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Walery Tamulewicz in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of KS Grocholice booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 70th minute. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislaw Rakowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 87thth minute of the game Frank Sachs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KS Grocholice's Walery Tamulewicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walery Tamulewicz having to make a save. When Ludomil Jaraczeski came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the KS Grocholice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludomil Jaraczeski couldn't finish the play.
