He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Netherlands reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Luis Alberto Suárez made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Putra Rewulu's Oscar Munio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Kees Mooiweer made in the 55th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Wim Wilmes however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 77th minute of play forced Putra Rewulu's goalkeeper Amran Suhaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Putra Rewulu's Oscar Munio. But to his dismay, Oscar Munio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Putra Rewulu made a substitution. Primus Ramandha replaced Oscar Munio. In the 87th minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 93rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amran Suhaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Netherlands players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
