The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Czech Republic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Jilek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bohumir Kohout hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Domuță in the 18th minute of play. Radowit Zerde charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radowit Zerde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Balders Hage IF's Simon Sjöberg got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 43 played minutes, Balders Hage IF's Maxim Domuță shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Balders Hage IF reached it. If Alan Rezek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sigvard Brask stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Nils Asklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ove Lundgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere. If Ove Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Lundgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Ove Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Czech Republic's Erik Jilek came free and shot a quick shot against goal 89 minutes in the game, fortunately Eric Fredriksson had problems saving as it came toward the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sigvard Brask in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vavrinec Holub saved Czech Republic from getting behind. Balders Hage IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
