Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 贺德凌 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matteo Tonali in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnout Reekers, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gotham City's 贺德凌 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 40th minute of play. Gotham City's Daniel Wennerström got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Gotham City's Matteo Tonali. But to his dismay, Matteo Tonali quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gotham City's 贺德凌 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 58th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated 贺德凌. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Gotham City's 贺德凌 got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matteo Tonali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 贺德凌 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Wennerström in the 92nd minute of play.
