If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. Primitivo Enaut hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Corleone during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute Robert Sterlig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. 蔡潮霖 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Robert Sterlig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netherlands had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
