Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Helmut Müllerwiebus in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aktuğ Sıraç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Makaay's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Aktuğ Sıraç didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Roy Makaay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 50th minute of the game. Helmut Müllerwiebus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Derman Kocaker charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Derman Kocaker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
