Pavol Rybnický might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavol Rybnický ran back to his position shaking his head. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavol Rybnický in the 12th minute of play. Ľubomír Smatana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Tommy Kahn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ladislav Lomnický took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malte Schiele's late challenge caught a UFC Pivnica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malte Schiele helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Malte Schiele hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ladislav Lomnický. UFC Pivnica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Sachs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ľubomír Smatana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Malte Schiele kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ľubomír Smatana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tommy Kahn came out and tried to block the shot, but Ľubomír Smatana slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 26th minute. The supporters of UFC Pivnica booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pavol Rybnický fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Pavol Rybnický capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pavol Rybnický really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Jozef Hecl with Matej Lackovič as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Thanks to some nice moves Ľubomír Smatana could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Tommy Kahn however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Viktor Kasarda managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC Pivnica's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Kasarda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ladislav Lomnický read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Pavol Rybnický came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ľubomír Smatana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 60 minutes into the match, UFC Pivnica's goalkeeper Ladislav Lomnický had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. 61 minutes into the game, Linus Schwerner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UFC Pivnica the free kick. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Linus Schwerner hit a great ball. Ladislav Lomnický made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Pavol Rybnický made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Ladislav Lomnický made a huge save. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ľubomír Smatana in the 72nd minute of the match. Ladislav Lomnický showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 81 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Linus Schwerner. The audience was convinced that Ľubomír Smatana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Ladislav Lomnický made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Germany booed when UFC Pivnica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jozef Hecl didn't get a good kick on the ball.
