To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, 20 de Abril's Luan Zanette got a free kick in the 9th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mané Netto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Netto having to interfere. When Frans De Jong fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 20 de Abril's protests and gave Frans De Jong a yellow card for diving instead. Álvaro de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Robinho Freire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Álvaro de Mendonça heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Hungary were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing 20 de Abril to leave the ground with a draw.
