Conny Josefsson started the match with the kick off. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conny Josefsson in the 7th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Conny Josefsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klas Josefsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenny Liljeström went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 19th minute of play forced Vilbergen Boys Club's goalkeeper Nils Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conny Josefsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Josefsson in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Vilbergen Boys Club getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Sven-Oskar Lundin hit a great ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nils Tunander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Vilbergen Boys Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Nils Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvald Mattsson in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Osvald Mattsson came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils Tunander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Sven-Oskar Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Hector Hanmark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
