Romeu Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Cristiano Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Bermudo in the 51st minute of the match. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeu Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Zaccheo Andolina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Bermudo in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Romeu Guedes. Zaccheo Andolina showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zaccheo Andolina in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sigfrido Auletta struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Romeu Guedes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Romeu Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute Osmar Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Italy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
