Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Conny Josefsson started the match with the kick off. Nigel Devos kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Conny Josefsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Casper Claes. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vilbergen Boys Club's Nils Tunander. Nils Tunander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvald Mattsson in the 20th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute of the match, Conny Josefsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Casper Claes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Conny Josefsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Casper Claes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Yves Dervaux got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29thth minute of the game Conny Josefsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Casper Claes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nils Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 31st minute of play. Vilbergen Boys Club's Nils Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 32nd minute of play. In the 37th minute Conny Josefsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Conny Josefsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. 39 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils Tunander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Osvald Mattsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Casper Claes came out and tried to block the shot, but Osvald Mattsson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 40th minute. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Lenny Clocheret hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off in the second half. Conny Josefsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edward Vanderstraetens short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Nils Tunander to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 59th minute of the match Belgium got a corner. Vilbergen Boys Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Siebe Michiels at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Vilbergen Boys Club. 2-2. In the 63rd play minute Edward Vanderstraeten came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nils Tunander. 2-3. In the 68th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Edward Vanderstraeten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils Tunander was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Siebe Michiels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Tunander having to interfere. Nils Tunander made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Klas Josefsson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Nils Tunander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Belgium walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
