Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off which started today's match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Alberto Zañartu in the 4th minute of play. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by La Academia's Gong Peng Bo. But to his dismay, Gong Peng Bo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 11th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egbert Nijveldt to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Peng Bo came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Porta kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Grocholski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Academia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Wim Wilmes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Grocholski having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iwan Grocholski was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. 45 minutes into the match, La Academia's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Iwan Grocholski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iwan Grocholski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. La Academia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Alberto Zañartu to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Alberto Zañartu in the 58th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 59th minute of play forced La Academia's goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Iwan Grocholski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Academia's Iwan Grocholski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Academia's Maxín Bacarreza got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd match minute, La Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxín Bacarreza to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Iwan Grocholski in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, La Academia's Iwan Grocholski got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that La Academia's Iwan Grocholski managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sped through La Academia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iwan Grocholski. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter White, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iwan Grocholski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 92nd minute. Iwan Grocholski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 98th minute of play.
