Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guararapes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Vinicio Bermudo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Romeu Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graciano Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Romeu Guedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the game, Cristiano Lago recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim. Cristiano Lago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Viriato Moura made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Daniel Pimentel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute Caetano Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes in the game, Daniel Pimentel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Romeu Guedes having to interfere. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Bermudo in the 62nd minute of play. Maicon Campidelis got a throw-in 63 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tenorio Urrue. Guararapes's Romeu Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Guararapes from getting a goal against them. In the 66th match minute, Guararapes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Bermudo to maneuver through the defense. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Vinicio Bermudo hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Romeu Guedes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After 88th play minutes Felipinho Amorim shot 2-4, a short shot which went by Romeu Guedes and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 93rd minute, Bruno Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Portugal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
