Candar SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Vanderstraeten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 41stth minute of the game Edward Vanderstraeten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Candar SK's Abdurrahim Kutlualp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geovani Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Claes having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Cafer Dağasan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Edward Vanderstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adriano Talone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Abdurrahim Kutlualp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yves Dervaux in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute Belgium were awarded a corner.
