Gianluca Pagliuca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 11th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Oliver Bierhoff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ramiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Ramiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Rubion didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluca Pagliuca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastián Cebreiro got free with Arnout Reekers in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 28th minute of play forced Ramiro FC's goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gianluca Pagliuca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A collision led to Ramiro FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Oliver Bierhoff hit a great ball. Ramiro FC's Aca Peroba was substituted for Gilberto Playo. In the 38th minute, Oliver Bierhoff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ramiro FC's 魏荣 got a free kick in the 40th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián Cebreiro in the 42nd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Locaio couldn't finish the play. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 63rd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Egbert Nijveldt heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ramiro FC were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gervasio Locaio took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Márk Vadas heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Sebastián Cebreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastián Cebreiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet.
