Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ramiro FC's Oliver Bierhoff started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sebastián Cebreiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Casper Claes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gianluca Pagliuca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gianluca Pagliuca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Oliver Bierhoff sent off a good shot on target. Gianluca Pagliuca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Edward Vanderstraeten, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gianluca Pagliuca was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 34 played minutes Ramiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Oniga. The Belgium fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Nigel Devos hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Vanderstraeten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 51st minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If 魏荣 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gianluca Pagliuca made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute 魏荣 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, Ramiro FC's Oliver Bierhoff made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casper Claes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ramiro FC's Gianluca Pagliuca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Ramiro FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Ramiro FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Viorel Oniga hit a great ball. Casper Claes came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Ramiro FC's Oliver Bierhoff. But to his dismay, Oliver Bierhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Bierhoff in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. After 93 played minutes Ramiro FC got a freekick which was hit by 魏荣. After a rather tough play, Ramiro FC's Gervasio Locaio got a free kick in the 96th minute. Despite being the better team, Belgium failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
