The Navalito fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Navalito's Isidoro Young looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Daniel Pimentel hit a great ball. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 29th minute of play forced Navalito's goalkeeper Soriano Espiñeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute of the match, Carlos Gustavo Caicedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the last second Wilson Amorim throw himself and got hold of the ball when Isidoro Young in the 37thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The corner led to Navalito's José Ignacio Portusagasti getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Soriano Espiñeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidoro Young was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Navalito's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Soriano Espiñeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 56th minute of play. Soriano Espiñeira made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Soriano Espiñeira made a huge save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Soriano Espiñeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Navalito booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Navalito's goalkeeper Soriano Espiñeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim. The corner ended in Bartolomeu Dias almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira did a great save. Felipinho Amorim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Soriano Espiñeira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Isidoro Young took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Navalito.
