Thanks to some nice moves Calistrat Macarie could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Fodor Daniel however easily saved by the left post. Jan-Erik Magnusson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. FC Zestafoni's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. FC Zestafoni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 48 minutes into the match, FC Zestafoni's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Ignatius Casasola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Zestafoni players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hungary were winning 2-3.

The wind increased when Calistrat Macarie made the kick off in the second half. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jan-Erik Magnusson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Zestafoni's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Erik Magnusson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Balazs Lajos scored 2-4 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignatius Casasola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Erik Magnusson struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Zestafoni. Balazs Lajos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Ignatius Casasola made a huge save.
